    What is Domicile certificate ?


    Domicile certificate is a document that confirms a residential status of person in a specific state. It is utilized to take advantages of various services provided by the Government for example, job placement, college admission, and any semblance of it. This certificate also known as Adhiwas Dakhla in Marathi.

    Eligibility for Domicile Certificate

    Any individual from the State of Maharashtra could get domicile certificate, If he/she is an resident in the Maharashtra State throughout the previous 15 years.

    Documents required for Domicile certificate


    1. Age proof
      E.g birth certificate, school certificate etc.

    2. Address proof
      E.g Ration card, Voter ID or driving license.

    3. Two photographs of Voter ID/College or University ID.

    4. Filled application form

    5. Photo copies of all documents attested from government officer

    6. Identity proof
      E.g Voter ID, Adhaar card, PAN Card

    7. Affidavit from tehsil office or court

    List of documents required for Domicile certificate, while applying through Maha eSeva :

    1. School certificate

    2. School certificate of Applicant's Father

    3. Born certificate

    4. Home receipt

    5. Adhaar card

    6. Voter ID

    7. Ration card

    8. Certificate from Police Patil and Sarpanch

    9. Two photographs of Applicant

    Application Procedure



    1. Gather the application form either on the web or from the local government office e.g Tehsildar office, Sub-Divisional Magistrate office etc.

    2. Take the application form and fill it with all required details carefully.

    3.  At that point attach all your documents with the application form and visit to the SETU office for submission.

    4. After submission of the application and the required documents, the candidate will get his/her Domicile Certificate within 30 days.

    5.  50 rupees will be charged for issuing a Domecial Certificate.

    6.  Procedure is same for applying Domicile certificate through Maha eSeva, but fees may vary.


    This Certificate would be legitimate for the whole lifetime of the beneficiary.
